About the Project
Shehadi Commercial Flooring specializes in large-scale commercial flooring and wall cladding installations for high-rise mixed-use developments across Brooklyn and New York. One South First was a 230,000+ square foot mixed-use flooring and wall finish installation completed for Two Trees Management as part of the Domino Park waterfront development in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Shehadi managed the complete flooring and wall cladding scope, including apartment wood
flooring, large-scale tile installation, porcelain wall cladding, shower surrounds, decorative specialty finishes, custom amenity flooring, and building-wide substrate preparation, while coordinating closely with the broader construction team to support the project’s accelerated construction schedule and complex architectural finish requirements.
Shehadi began the project with building-wide substrate preparation, establishing a consistent installation base across all 230,000+ square feet before finish installations began. As part of this process, the team surveyed the building to establish benchmark elevations on each floor for the finished self-leveling systems, allowing all trades to work from one consistent building benchmark throughout the development.
The scope included apartment hardwood flooring throughout the residential units, large-scale floor and shower tile installation, and thin veneer porcelain wall panels fabricated with precision mitered external corners across residential and common areas.
Within the amenity spaces, Shehadi completed imported Italian fluted wall tile installations, decorative coloured brick applications, and custom waterjet-cut logo inlays integrated directly into the finished floor systems. Multiple flooring and specialty wall finish installations were coordinated simultaneously across the high-rise development, requiring detailed sequencing,
installation precision, and continuous coordination with the broader construction schedule.
