About Us

A Century Of Evolution & Stability

Surviving and growing in the Tri-State commercial construction market for more than 120 years requires continuous adaptation.

Developers, general contractors, and facility managers need a commercial flooring partner with the depth and experience to execute reliably — and the financial stability to still be there for warranties, future phases, and long-term accountability.

Our History

Founded in 1900

What began over a century ago as a specialized rug business has evolved into an established, multi-trade commercial flooring contractor serving developers, general contractors, and property managers across the Northeast.

Tested and Proven

We have successfully navigated more than a century of economic cycles, supply chain disruptions, and industry change — giving our clients a fully bonded, financially stable partner they can rely on for current work and every future phase

The Lynx Equity Advantage

As a proud member of the Lynx Equity family of companies, we operate with the financial backing, high-volume purchasing power, and immense bonding capacity of a large multinational portfolio — while maintaining the localized, hands-on service and accountability of a legacy contractor.

Starnet Commercial Flooring Member

Shehadi is a member of Starnet Commercial Flooring, the industry’s leading cooperative of top-tier commercial flooring contractors. Membership requires meeting vetted standards for installation quality, financial stability, and manufacturer relationships. It is not a claim we make about ourselves.

We recognize our experienced team of talented professionals as our greatest strength.

Hundreds of Years of Combined Industry Experience

A commercial flooring contractor is only as strong as its people. Our team brings hundreds of years of combined industry experience across estimating, project management, and field installation.

Elite Estimating

Our pre-construction team brings decades of technical experience across commercial flooring systems. They review plans carefully, value-engineer where appropriate, and produce accurate digital takeoffs that give our clients a clear, defensible scope from day one.

Proactive Project Management

Our project managers understand Tri-State commercial construction. They anticipate bottlenecks, coordinate trades, manage complex phased installations, and communicate proactively — keeping projects on schedule and clients informed.

Master Mechanics

From custom Axminster broadloom and large-format porcelain to heat-welded sheet vinyl, polished concrete, and industrial epoxy systems, our Union and Non-Union installation crews bring specialized, hands-on expertise across the full spectrum of commercial flooring.

The Infrastructure to Execute at Scale

We do not rely on just-in-time shipping or third-party logistics to keep your project on schedule. We control the full process — from material procurement and warehousing through to final inspection.

Massive Warehousing Capabilities

Operating from our state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, NJ, we have the capacity to receive, inspect, and safely store millions of square feet of flooring material well before your site is ready for it — eliminating lead time risk and protecting your schedule.

Dedicated Fleet Logistics

A company-owned fleet of box trucks and sprinter vans ensures materials and mechanics arrive on time, reducing reliance on third-party freight and providing the logistical certainty that large projects require.

100% OSHA-Certified Workforce

Safety is not optional. Every Union and Non-Union mechanic holds a minimum OSHA 10 card, while foremen and project managers are OSHA 30 certified. We operate under a well-established corporate safety program with a strong Experience Modification Rate (EMR).

Building in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania requires both logistical agility and labor flexibility. We are positioned to staff projects with the labor model each site requires.

Labor Capabilities Across the Tri-State Region

Union & Non-Union Capabilities

Whether your site mandates a strictly affiliated Union workforce or benefits from the cost-efficiencies of highly trained Non-Union crews, we have the exact labor force to meet your site-specific requirements — including prevailing wage compliance where applicable.

With access to a large pool of certified flooring mechanics across the tri-state area, we scale staffing to support accelerated timelines, simultaneous multi-floor operations, and high-volume project demands.
